5x Rust servers

Every node, tree and barrel gives five times its normal yield. Wood, stone, metal, sulfur and components all scale, so the early game that takes a vanilla evening takes a 5x player under an hour. Base building and crafting costs do not change, so the same metal wall still costs the same ore; you just farm it faster. The result is quicker progression and more time spent fighting.

It varies by owner, and the server name usually says which. Monthly wipes are common on 5x, weekly less so, and some servers only reset at Facepunch's forced wipe. The Next wipe column shows each server's estimate, so check it rather than guessing from the name. A server that wiped days ago will already be full of endgame players.

Almost all of them, yes. Facepunch's rules say any server with altered gather rates must be listed as modded, so that is where you will find them. That does not mean every modded server is 5x, only that 5x servers are modded. If you see one outside the tab, it is breaking the classification, not offering something special.

Yes, but the tag alone does not tell you. Look at the Group column before joining, because plenty of 5x servers keep the default limit of 8 and you will meet those groups. Some owners cap it at 4, 3 or 2, which changes how the map plays. Filter or search for solo, duo or trio in the name if you want a quieter team size.
