Are all official Rust servers vanilla?

Nearly all of them. Official means run by Facepunch or an approved partner, not untouched. Gather rates sit at 1x on the large majority, and the few that run mods carry it in their tags. Check the Tags column before you assume anything.

Official or community, which should I pick?

Official gets you predictable wipes, partner admins and a queue on wipe day. Community gets you variety: custom maps, odd rulesets, smaller pop. If you want the crowd and the rhythm, take official. If you want something specific, the community list is where you find it.

When is the next wipe on these servers?

Facepunch force wipes every map on the first Thursday of the month at 19:00 UK time. Partners mostly keep to their own weekday every one or two weeks, and Thursday is the common pick. The Next wipe column follows what each server has actually been doing, so read that over the published schedule.

Why is there a queue on a server with free slots?

Slots free up and refill within seconds of a wipe, and the counter refreshes every five minutes. A queue of thirty at 20:00 CET is normal on the big EU servers. Connect the moment the server comes back up, or pick a partner with the same wipe day and a shorter line.
